U13's Latest News & Results

Sunday 16th November Result:

The U13's beat Acton Ealing Whistlers 3-1 at St Marks in an evenly matched, good natured game. The Dragons scored first after 20 minutes and went into the 2nd half 1-0 up. AEW battled away and pulled back to 1-1 before the Dragons scored again to make it 2-1. The battle raged with both sides determined to win but it was the Dragons who thumped the ball into AEW's net to seal a great victory.

Sunday 9th November Result:

The U13's lost 5-6 to Wealdstone at St Marks. Your correspondent arrived to find the Dragons 5-1 up at half time and settled down to an enjoyable game in the sure knowledge that a Dragon win was in store. O woe is me - Wealdstone proceeded to make the most of luck, the wind, and sun to pull back to 5-5 and then 5-6. It shows the generosity of the Dragons that their linesman gave a penalty to Wealdstone which perplexed even the referee. Wealdstone are indeed a lucky side.

Sunday 02nd November Result:

No game

Sunday 26th October Result:

No game this weekend

Sunday 19th October Result:

The U13's just lost at home to Pinner Albion 2-3 in the Middlesex Cup. The Dragons were momentarily stunned by the huge size of many of the Albion side and soon found themselves 0-1 down before equalising to make it 1-1 at half time. Back on the pitch Pinner were lucky to be awarded a penalty and then score again to make it 3-1. The Dragons played magnificently to get back into the game, to score and then bombard Albion's goal only to be denied the elusive goal by cross bar, goal post and stout defending. It is always disappointing to lose but the Dragons performance gives much to be pleased with.

Sunday 12th October Result:

The U13's lost 3-5 away to Springfield. This was very much a Springfield family affair with their Coach's son reffing and no doubt younger brother lurking somewhere on the pitch. Unsurprisingly the ref paid diligent attention to Springfield's linesman but could not see the Dragons counterpart. Springfield lead 0-3 at the half but were surprised at the Dragons magnificent depth of spirit which lead to them to pull back to 3-3. The clinching Dragons goal came, only to be saved by a Springfield hand which went hardly surprisingly went unnoticed by the Springfield ref - after all what would you do if your dad was the coach? Springfield went on to win before losing a player for head butting a poor Dragon - something even the ref could hardly ignore. Not a pretty game

Sunday 5th October Result:

The U13's drew 3-3 with Bessingby Park Rangers away. The Dragons scored first and finished the first half 2-1 up. Bessingby refused to give up and pulled back before the Dragons took the lead again only for Bessingby to pull back to 2-2. The Dragons scored yet again and felt that victory was in sight only for Bessingby to yet again draw level.
The Dragons piled on the pressure but could not quite score the elusive winning goal.

Sunday 28th September Result:

The U13's beat Ruislip Town 5-2 at St Marks in a sterling display of virtuoso football. The Dragons never looked like losing as they build on last week's performance. At half time they were 4-2 up. The second half was a gentler affair as the Dragons limited themselves to one goal.

Sunday 21st September Result:

The U13's beat North Greenford 3-2 away in a stunning performance which showed great improvement over last week. The Dragons peppered Greenford's goal in the first half but could not score and it was to remain 0-0 at half time. Back on the pitch the Dragons quickly found the net and then dominated the game to eventually win 3-2 after giving away a penalty and a loose goal. The massed Dragon fans greeted the final whistle with just a touch of relief.
