> The U18's defeated Headstone Manor 4-1 at St Marks in a rather easy
victory. The Dragons dominated the first half to lead 2 - 0 at halftime.
The Dragons should finish 3rd in the premiership. A very credible result
only marred by the realisation that the Dragons beat both the winner and
the runners up but lost to lesser teams. Winning a division is a
marathon where one slip up on a wet windy November morning can come home
to roost in sunny May.

themselves lucky that an administrative error denied the Dragons their

The U18's beat fellow Premiership League contenders Ruislip Rangers 1-0
away in a tense hard fought match which gave much "satisfaction" to the
Dragons.
Ruislip, who had only lost two matches this season, are a hard
physical side who could not wear down the more skilful Dragons despite
winning most headers in the first half. Back on the pitch it remained
0-0 until 10 minutes from the end when the Dragons scored a classy and composed winning
goal to massed hysteria from the crowds. A very great win.

> The U18's beat London Tigers away 1-0 in the first game of a double
header but lost 2-4 in the second game. Both sides played football
commensurate with being premiership title contenders. After an hour of
exhausting fast flowing football the Dragons had won the first match but
could not rest on their laurels as after a short break it was onto the
next match. The Tigers finished 0-2 up at half time but the Dragons came
back to 2-2 in the second half before the Tigers pulled ahead to win
4-2.

> The U18's beat Greenford Celtic 2-0 away in a well refereed game. The
Dragons played the better football, created opportunities to score but
did not always capitalise. At this level there are not many scoring
opportunities and they
have to be taken when they come. At half time
it
was 1-0 to the Dragons and 2-0 at the end - it could have been 8-0.

> The U18's beat Finsbury Park 5-3 at Wormwood Scrubbs. The Dragons
started with the howling wind urging them forward and were
a little
disappointed to be only 2-1 up at the half. Back on the pitch Finsbury
quickly equalised to 2-2.
The Dragons had no alternative but to roll up
their sleeves, bat the howling wind aside and get on with the job of
scoring. Soon it was
3-2 then 4-2 before Finsbury pulled back to 4-3 but
the Dragons
proved their essential brilliance
and
scored the "coup de
grace" to
make it 5-3 at the final whistle.

> The U18's drew 2-2 with Yeading away. The Dragons dominated to lead 2-0
up to 10 mins from the end before complacency lead to
Yeading scoring
with a fine shot from 20 meters. As the Dragons
wilted Yeading kept
their
noses to the football grindstone and scored again in the last
minute from a corner. A frustrating start to 2008

> The U18's beat Hillingdon Borough 3-0 in a great display of
footballing
skills. Hillingdon went into the game confident in
their
position of
being 2nd in the premiership and having only lost one
game. The Dragons
knew better and went into the second half 2-0
up.
Hillingdon were
determined to score and pressurized the Dragons unremittingly but could
not break through and then conceded a fine break away Dragons goal to
leave the field comprehensively
defeated.
A great end to 2007 for the
Dragons.

The U18's beat Pitshanger 2-0 at Birbeck in a one sided game that the
Dragons should have won 10-0. Ten minutes
into the game the Dragons
broke down the left, crossed and were obliged by a Pitshanger player
deflecting the ball into
his own net. The Dragons kept on pulverising
Pitshanger but could not put the .....ball into the back of the ......
net.
Finally minutes from the end the Dragons scored again to make it
2-0. Not the most pressing of engagements for the Dragon's goalie.

> The U18's drew 2-2 with Larkspur Rovers away on a desolate
pitch swept
by wind and rain which was devoid of
changing rooms. The Dragons played
poorly in the first half and were 0-2 down at
half time. Back on the
pitch the
Dragons pulled themselves together
and hauled back to 1-2. In
the final corner of the game a hitherto unknown
scoring Dragon hero
scored his first goal in four years to draw 2-2. Back from the brink!

The U18's beat Greenford Celtic 4-0 at Birbeck. The Dragons
defense,
returned to almost its full strength, proved a rock against all
the
efforts of Greenford to break through. The Dragons goalie was hardly
tested and was able to admire his fingernails as the game
raged far away
around the Greenford goal. At half time the Dragons were 2-0 up; at full
time 4-0 - a symmetrical win that marks another
step towards ?

> The U18's lost 2-5 away to Finsbury Park with the Dragons Coach even
handedly reffing. Finsbury Park had found
the tube system challenging
and arrived an hour late for the game. Some teams may have pounced on
this technical
error to claim 3 points. No so the Dragons whose watch
word is "Win or Lose Fair and Square".
Despite being reduced
to a frail
shadow of their normal robust self through injury, illness and, dare we
say, girlfriends, the Dragons generously agreed to stage the game and
did the best they could in reduced circumstances.

> The U18's drew 3-3 with Ruislip Rangers at Birbeck. It looked as if
Ruislip's fearsome reputation was justified as they quickly scored
twice. The Dragons woke up and pulled back to 2-2 at half time.
Back on
the field the Dragons pushed relentlessly and eventually chipped the
ball over Ruislip's goalie to make it 3-2. Alas minutes from the end
Ruislip scored to make it a 3-3 draw. An irritating result for
the
Dragons who could have won. Those of a calmer disposition
scent a return
to top premiership form as this was a credible result against an
undefeated team who have only let in 1 goal all season.

> The U18's lost 1-3 to Whetstone Wanderers away in the
Middlesex Cup with
an even handed referee on a good pitch.
Illness and holidays had taken

> The U18's drew 2-2 at Birbeck against Larkspur Rovers. The
Dragons were
the better side during the first half but
could not
score to make it 0-0
at the half. Back on the pitch the Dragons
scored but then proceeded to
squander opoortunites as Larspur
pulled back to 1-1. Again the Dragons
scored and again they could
not convert opportunities.
In the final kick
of the game Larskpur scrambled a late goal to the huge jubilation of
Larkspur - to them it seemed like
a win. The Dragons will have to
concentrate to the
final whistle.

The U18's narrowly lost 1-2 away to Hillingdon Borough. The
Dragons
looked set to repeat recent successes and
were 1-0 up at
half time.
Hillingdon pulled back to 1-1 and then battled on with 10
men to pull
back the winner. The
football is tough, skillful and
competitive in the
Premiership. The Dragons look forward to the
return home match.

> The U18's beat Woodside Park 8-0 away in the League Cup in a game in
which the Dragons were in command of from beginning to end. Woodside
played with gusto but were no match for the well drilled Dragons. The

at half time before powering away in the second half
to score another 6 goals. Roll on the next Round.

> The U18's beat Yeading of FA Cup fame 7-2 in the Premiership at Birbeck.
The Dragons controlled the game from start to finish and
missed more
chances than they converted into goals. Fans will be keeping a close eye
on the team and wondering whether they should
be backed next year to be
the first Dragons senior side and enter the
FA Cup.

unwisely retaliated when pushed. Both players were red carded and the
referee sensibly decided that he had better things to do and abandoned
the match.
